Job summary

Nedbank is seeking a Senior Manager: Governance & Operations to ensure smooth Social Impact Unit operations, including governance, data management, automation and travel logistics. The role oversees payments, contracting and stakeholder communications, with emphasis on risk mitigation and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate brings 3–6 years in operations/governance, strong stakeholder skills, and a track record of delivering results in a regulated financial environment.

Qualifications

• Essential qualifications include Matric or higher and advanced diplomas or national degrees.
• Preferred: BCom in Project Management, Business Operations or Governance.
• Minimum 3–6 years total experience with 3–5 years in management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement payment strategies to optimise processes and reduce costs.
• Oversee all contractual agreements and negotiate terms for best interests.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Oversee data collection, analysis and governance of operational data for decisions.
• Manage employee travel, budgets, bookings and travel policies.
• Act as main liaison for stakeholders to ensure effective communications.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
