Job summary

Clicks Group Limited in Cape Town is seeking a Category Manager for Colour Cosmetics to join the Beauty Division at Clicks Head Office. You will develop and execute the category strategy to grow market share and profitability, negotiate terms with suppliers, and drive private label and exclusive brands.

You will manage supplier relationships, analyse sales and margins, work with marketing and Clubcard, and lead training to embed procurement principles across the team.

Qualifications

• B Degree or Diploma in Retail, Purchasing Management or similar.
• 4-6 years Category Management experience.
• 2-3 years People Management experience.
• Experience with local and global supplier networks.
• Procurement knowledge and retail management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category plans to optimise COGS and terms.
• Negotiate trading terms and co-op promotional spend.
• Maintain supplier relationships and identify new suppliers.
• Translate operating and financial plans into balanced assortment and on-shelf displays.
• Support private label products and exclusive brands for differentiation.
• Regularly review sales, margin and promo performance.
