Network Finance is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to steer the finance function and contribute to commercial strategy and growth. The role blends financial management with strategic business partnering and governance oversight in a high-impact leadership capacity.

You will lead a large finance team, drive profitability, and work with senior leadership to identify opportunities, manage risk, and guide capital projects.

Qualifications

• CA(SA) is essential.
• Seven+ years post-articles experience.
• Senior financial leadership experience.
• Experience managing large teams and multiple reporting lines.
• Strong commercial finance and strategic business partnering experience.
• Exposure to industrial, engineering, machinery, mining or related sectors advantageous.
• Experience managing strategic projects and commercial initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full financial management function, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Provide strategic financial insight to support executive decision-making.
• Oversee financial controls, governance, risk management and statutory compliance.
• Drive commercial analysis, profitability reviews and performance improvement initiatives.
• Partner with operational leadership to identify growth opportunities and improve business performance.
• Oversee commercial and contractual matters in collaboration with legal and business stakeholders.
• Lead strategic projects and support key business initiatives.
• Evaluate investment opportunities, business cases and capital expenditure.
• Lead, mentor and develop a large finance team.
• Present financial performance, risks and strategic recommendations to executives.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and reporting through automation and AI-enabled solutions.
