Job summary

Edgexec (Pty) Ltd seeks a results-driven Business Development & Solutions Executive for Johannesburg/London. You will own the new-business process, craft rapid prototypes with AI tools, and lead proposals and RFP/RFI responses.

You will drive outbound campaigns, manage CRM, and collaborate with leadership to optimize pipeline and outcomes. Ideal candidates have 6–9 years in tech sales or BD, hands-on RFP experience, and strong proposal writing skills.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years in technology sales, BD, pre-sales or bid management.
• Experience generating new business via outbound prospecting.
• Experience with RFP/RFI responses and proposal processes.
• Hands-on with AI-assisted prototyping and development tools.
• Strong written communications for proposals and outreach.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a repeatable new-business pipeline through outbound campaigns.
• Collaborate with marketing to maintain LinkedIn presence and engage networks.
• Drive conference-led BD and convert conversations into opportunities.
• Lead discovery conversations, assess needs and fit.
• Use AI tools to build rapid prototypes for client visualisation.
• Coordinate with consulting/delivery for complex proofs of concept.
• Own RFP/RFI responses and bid processes including planning and submissions.
• Develop persuasive proposals and client communications outlining value.
• Maintain CRM records and report pipeline health and progression.
• Partner with CEO to set targets and improve new-business processes.
