Placements24 is seeking a Water Resources Engineer in Port Elizabeth to lead stormwater design and flood control projects. You will analyze hydrology, model hydraulics, and implement green infrastructure while ensuring adherence to environmental regulations.

The role involves collaboration with municipal authorities and developers, delivering technical reports, drawings, and specifications, and supporting construction with site inspections.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Eng with water resources specialization
• Minimum 5 years in hydrology, hydraulics, and stormwater design
• Proficient in hydrological and hydraulic modeling software (HEC-RAS, SWMM, EPANET)
• Knowledge of SA water management policies and environmental regulations
• GIS experience is advantageous

Responsabilidades

• Perform hydrological and hydraulic analyses for stormwater systems including flood modeling
• Design culverts, channels, detention basins and green infrastructure
• Prepare design reports, calculations, drawings, and specs for stormwater projects
• Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements and environmental protection standards
• Collaborate with municipal authorities, developers and environmental consultants
• Provide construction phase technical support and site inspections
