Job summary

RiseUp Group in Durban is seeking an experienced Stores Supervisor to take full control of its stores at the Durban branch, overseeing receiving, stock, tools and consumables.

You will lead stock planning, cycle counts, reconciliation of gas bottles and consignment stock, and manage timesheets for stores staff.

The role requires 8-10 years in stores management, preferably in engineering/steel manufacturing, with strong Excel skills and leadership.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of stores management experience.
• Engineering/steel manufacturing background is advantageous.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Qualification in warehouse or supply chain management is advantageous.

Our client, a company in the engineering and steel manufacturing space, is looking for an experienced Stores Supervisor to take full control and supervision of its stores at the Durban branch. The role covers general and financial control of all stores, including receiving, tools and consumables. Day-to-day responsibilities include stock planning and ordering, cycle counts and stock takes, gas bottle and consignment stock reconciliation, tools issue and receipt management, requisition book control, and timesheet management for all stores-related staff.

Required Skills:

• 8-10 years’ proven stores management experience.
• An engineering/steel manufacturing background will be an advantage.
• Computer literacy with intermediate to advanced excel skills is non-negotiable.
• A relevant qualification in warehouse management and/or supply chain management will be a distinct advantage.
• Strategic thinking and leadership.
• Assertive and persuasive communicator with a strong grasp of business challenges.
