Ideal candidates have Matric, 3+ years in a stores/warehouse role, and proficiency in SAP and MS Office. Overtime may be required to meet deadlines and support branch operations.

• Generate weekly stock orders to maintain stock levels.

Position: Storeman
Location: East Rand Branch
Reports to: Branch Manager

Purpose of the Role

To provide a reliable and efficient stores and logistics service to Centurion distributors and customers, ensuring excellent stock control and supporting the overall success of the branch.

Stock Control & Inventory Management

• Generate weekly stock orders to maintain sufficient stock levels.
• Liaise with Sales and Technical departments before placing orders.
• Monitor stock availability on SAP and communicate shortages.
• Receive, unpack, identify, and count incoming stock accurately.
• Conduct basic quality checks and report any damages.
• Record and communicate stock variances immediately.
• Apply the First In, First Out (FIFO) stock principle.
• Conduct stocktakes, cycle counts, and regular bin audits.
• Allocate and manage bin locations for stock.
• Maintain accurate stores documentation and filing systems.
• Ensure stock is stored correctly and safely.
• Maintain accurate bin labelling and stock locations.
• Verify picking slips and communicate discrepancies.
• Ensure all required documentation is completed before stock is released.
• Allocate work to the Stores Assistant or Driver and monitor completion.
• Assist with branch operational requirements when needed.
• Support the overall stores process, including receiving, stock control, housekeeping, and logistics activities.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards within the stores area.
• Ensure only authorised personnel have access to the stores.
• Adhere to all health and safety requirements and procedures.
• Matric
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar stores or warehouse environment
• Proficient in SAP
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Willing and able to work overtime when required
