Monthly Cost To Company (Market related)
We are seeking an experienced Storeman to take responsibility for the effective management and coordination of the stores function within a branch environment. The successful candidate will oversee stock control, stock movements, inventory accuracy and related SAP transactions, while ensuring that customers receive a reliable and efficient service.
This role is ideal for an experienced Storeman who has progressed beyond day-to-day warehouse duties and is comfortable supervising stores activities, managing stock discrepancies and working extensively on SAP.
- Take full responsibility for the stores function within the branch.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of stores staff.
- Monitor stock in transit and ensure that no unauthorised stock movements are made to the store location.
- Monitor weekly One-Step stock movements into the branch and investigate and report discrepancies.
- Review weekly SAP-generated stock orders and make adjustments based on branch requirements.
- Source additional stock from Head Office or other branches when required to meet demand.
- Resolve customer stock queries by reconciling SAP records, couriered stock and physical stock.
- Conduct and manage physical stock counts.
- Capture and post physical stock counts on SAP.
- Investigate and report stock discrepancies identified during stock counts.
- Monitor stock levels and recommend appropriate safety stock levels based on sales performance.
- Proactively identify potential stock shortages and implement measures to minimise stockouts.
- Maintain accurate stock records and ensure all stock movements are correctly processed.
- Liaise with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure efficient stock availability and service delivery.
- Matric / Grade 12.
- 2–3 years’ experience at a Storeman I level or in a similar stores/stock-control environment.
- Proven ability to supervise and coordinate stores activities within a branch.
- Working knowledge and practical experience using SAP Warehousing.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Knowledge of ZOHO CRM, particularly for repairs tracking.
- Strong stock-control and inventory-management experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
