Job summary

A reputable tyre company in East London is seeking a Storeman to manage stock receipts, ensure proper storage, and maintain warehouse safety. The role requires a Matric qualification and previous warehouse experience, preferably in tyres or automotive. Basic computer literacy is necessary for inventory management. This position offers an opportunity to support logistics within a dynamic working environment while ensuring efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent qualification is required.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role is preferred.
• Basic computer literacy, particularly in MS Office and inventory systems.
• Must be physically capable of lifting heavy items.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming stock including tyres。
• Record stock deliveries and update inventory systems.
• Ensure goods are stored properly in designated locations.
• Pick, pack, and prepare stock for dispatch.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the warehouse.
• Assist with regular stock counts.

Storeman required for a reputable tyre company based in East London

Key Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming stock, including tyres and related accessories.
• Accurately record stock deliveries and update inventory systems.
• Ensure proper storage of all goods in designated locations.
• Pick, pack, and prepare stock for dispatch to customers and branches.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety standards.
• Assist with regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Report damaged, missing, or irregular stock to the Warehouse Manager.
• Support forklift operators or other warehouse staff when needed.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Previous warehouse or storeman experience (tyres, automotive, or retail preferred).
• Basic computer literacy (MS Office and inventory systems).
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
