Job summary

Boardroom Appointments seeks an experienced Stock & Warehouse Manager to lead stock control and distribution activities. You will ensure accurate stock accounting in SAP, reconcile deliveries, and monitor variances while driving improvements in warehouse processes.

The role requires 5+ years in warehousing/stock control, 3+ years in management, and strong knowledge of cost drivers, financial modelling, and logistics software systems. On-site position in Johannesburg, SA.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that stock transactions are accounted for and system inventory reflective of physical stock.
  • Reconcile customer accounts with stock delivered.
  • Analyse stock management environment and identify risk areas.
  • Redesign warehouse processes related to stock management and movement.
  • Manage finished goods stock inventory and control.
  • Ensure accurate stock movements via secondary and primary distribution.
  • Support regional teams in stock management.
  • Reconcile loads delivered to customers in SAP to minimize loss and wastage.
  • Monitor and report daily variances on a weekly basis.
  • Manage proof of delivery and respond to customer queries.
  • Maintain stock management policies and procedures and ensure compliance.

Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all stock transactions are accounted for and the system inventory levels arereflective of physical inventory within the warehouse
  • Ensure that customer accounts are reflective of the stock that is physically delivered
  • Analyse of the stock management environment and identification of critical risk areas
  • Investigate and provide recommendations for the redesign of warehouse processes specificallyrelated to stock management and movement
  • Execute the management & control of finished goods stock inventory
  • Ensure the effective execution & accurate accounting of stock movements via secondarydistribution
  • Ensure the effective execution & accurate accounting of stock movements via primarydistribution
  • Support the regional teams in the management of stock
  • Reconcile all the quantity of the loads delivered to customers on SAP in order to minimize loss and wastage
  • Ensure the monitoring and investigations of daily variances in order to provide weekly reports
  • Managing the proof of delivery to customers and manage queries that may arise
  • Investigate customer queries and ensure timeous resolve
  • Manage and Maintain the accounts and keep records of the transactions
  • Ensure that Stock Management practices are adhered to, at all times
  • Ensure the effective execution of customer claims processes & Proof of Deliver (POD) deliveryrequirements
  • Ensure compliance to operational standards in line with SCMAT (Stock and ManagementPractices) and flag and communicate deviations as and when they occur
  • Maintain the effective execution of the stock management policies and procedures
  • Monitoring of key KPIs relating to stock management and control
  • Management of stock management systems and software applications to ensure effectiveutilisation within warehouse facilities
  • Execute the analysis of stock reconciliations to ensure accuracy (quality) and to identifyopportunities and issues
  • Implement stock counting procedures, systems and processes and the standardisation of theseacross all warehouse facilities
  • Maintain quality assurance and roll out of TPM FIFO principles.
  • Oversee daily stock count to ensure optimal reporting
  • Structure and facilitate problem solving using suitable resources and appropriate techniques toeliminate root cause and close loops
  • Manage gaps using a formal process to track problems and their resolution
  • Identify and prioritize performance improvement opportunities using key KPIs and appropriate analysis
  • Plan, implement and manage performance improvement projects.

  • Manage the team effectively in order to achieve the goals, high engagement levels and qualitywork outputs
  • Manage and ensure regular engagements with team to ensure alignment and the addressingof needs and risks as they may arise
  • Manage and allocate work in order to achieve productivity through working on opportunities tominimise waste and control fixed and variable costs
  • Align team activities to optimise processes through supporting and implementing continuousimprovement opportunities and optimising process capability
  • Manage and maintain the management accountability to the Risk
  • Manager on issues related tostock and mitigations on losses and non-compliance
  • Maintain interaction with distribution, production, external customers and sales when required
