Job summary

Msuez Uk in Durban, South Africa, is seeking a Stock Controller to manage inventory levels and stock movements within our regional warehouse. You will work closely with procurement and logistics to ensure stock availability for timely delivery.

Responsibilities include regular stock audits, reporting variances, maintaining stock rotation, and implementing inventory controls to minimize loss and maximize efficiency. The role requires attention to detail and teamwork in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in stock control or inventory management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control principles.

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels in the warehouse, ensuring that stock levels are sufficient to meet customer demand
• Conduct regular stock audits and report any discrepancies to management
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of stock to customers
• Generate reports on stock levels, stock movements, and any variances
• Manage stock rotation and ensure that products are stored in the appropriate conditions
• Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize loss and maximize efficiency
• Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and make recommendations for clearance or discontinuation
• Collaborate with the sales team to forecast demand and plan for future stock requirements
• Train and supervise warehouse staff on proper stock handling and storage procedures
• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction in stock management
