Job summary

Network Recruitment is seeking a Stock Assistant & Driver to support day-to-day operations, ensuring stock is accurately managed and equipment is delivered and collected efficiently. The role combines stockroom organisation, regular stock counts, and hands-on driving duties, requiring reliability, strong communication, and a proactive attitude to keep operations moving smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Stock & Equipment Management: maintain orderly stockroom, support stock counts, issue equipment to technicians, sort and decommission equipment, basic testing, keep equipment available.
• Driving & Deliveries: conduct collections/deliveries, transport equipment, inspect vehicles, maintain logs and keep vehicle clean.
• Operational Support: update inventory in the stock management system, allocate equipment to sites, support weekly checks, general assistance.

Our client is looking for a Stock Assistant & Driver to support their day-to-day operations by ensuring equipment is properly managed, stock is accounted for and deliveries and collections are completed efficiently.

This is a hands‑on opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, works well within a team and isn't afraid to get involved wherever support is needed.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Stock & Equipment Management

• Assist with maintaining an orderly and well-managed stockroom
• Support regular stock counts and ensure inventory records remain accurate
• Prepare, scan and issue equipment to technicians and employees
• Assist with sorting and organising decommissioned equipment for potential reuse
• Support the team with basic testing and identification of faulty equipment
• Assist with keeping equipment readily available for operational requirements

Driving & Deliveries

• Complete customer and supplier collections and deliveries safely and efficiently
• Assist with transporting and replenishing equipment and operational supplies
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any issues
• Keep the company vehicle clean, well maintained and compliant
• Ensure vehicle logbooks and relevant documentation are kept up to date

Operational Support

• Capture and update inventory information on the company's stock management system
• Assist with allocating equipment to the relevant sites
• Support weekly equipment checks for field technicians
• Provide general operational assistance where required
