We are looking for a Warehouse & Driver Assistant to assist with daily warehouse operations, receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and packing orders, and assisting with dispatch.
The role also involves supporting our Blackheath Distribution Centre (DC) and Logistics team with deliveries, collections and container offloading as required.
- Location: Stikland, Cape Town
- Contract: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract
- Schedule: Monday to Thursday (08:00 – 16:30) & Friday (08:00 – 16:00)
Responsibilities:
Warehouse & Stock Operations (Primary)
- Pick and fill orders from stock.
- Pack and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Ensure orders are correctly loaded and secured for delivery.
- Assist customers with collecting orders at dispatch.
- Receive and process incoming stock and materials.
- Assist with stock counts and inventory control.
- Maintain accurate stock and dispatch records.
- Organise and maintain inventory and storage areas.
- Operate warehouse equipment where appropriately licensed and authorised.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment.
Delivery & DC Support (Secondary & Ad Hoc)
- Assist with operations at the Blackheath Distribution Centre (DC) when required.
- Assist with receiving and offloading containers and larger deliveries.
- Support drivers with loading, offloading, deliveries and collections.
- Drive company vehicles when appropriately licensed and authorised.
- Provide additional support to the Warehouse, DC and Logistics teams as operationally required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a warehouse, dispatch or similar operational environment.
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Experience with stock handling, picking, packing, loading and offloading.
- Valid forklift licence.
- Valid Code 10 driver’s licence.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Willingness to travel between Stikland and Blackheath when required.
- Physically capable of performing warehouse duties, including lifting, loading and offloading.
Advantageous:
