Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sports Facilities Manager to oversee the operations and maintenance of their sports venues in the Leisure & Sports sector. This fully remote role, coordinated from Soweto , requires a proactive approach to ensuring that all facilities are safe, well-maintained, and ready for use by athletes and the public. You will manage maintenance schedules, oversee operational budgets, and coordinate with various service providers to uphold the highest standards of facility management. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills and a commitment to providing excellent facility services remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of sports facilities, ensuring they meet safety and quality standards.
• Develop and manage operational budgets for facility maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
• Coordinate and supervise maintenance staff, contractors, and external vendors.
• Implement and enforce health and safety regulations and protocols within all managed facilities.
• Manage inventory of facility supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Plan and oversee seasonal maintenance activities and capital improvement projects.

Requirements

• Proven experience in facility management, preferably within the Leisure & Sports industry.
• Strong understanding of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Proficiency in facility management software and standard office applications.
• Ability to manage budgets effectively and negotiate with suppliers.
• Demonstrated ability to manage tasks and teams remotely, coordinating operations from Soweto .
