About the Role

Our client, a premier event management company based in Benoni , is seeking a highly organized and proactive Special Events Sanitation Coordinator. This role is crucial for ensuring the cleanliness, hygiene, and waste management operations at large-scale events, festivals, and conferences. The coordinator will be responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising sanitation strategies to maintain impeccable standards throughout event durations. This position requires a meticulous approach, strong logistical planning skills, and the ability to manage teams in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. This is a contract opportunity to be involved in prestigious events in and around the Benoni area.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive sanitation and waste management plans for various special events.
• Supervise and coordinate on-site cleaning crews, ensuring efficient deployment and task completion.
• Source and manage the provision of portable sanitation facilities, waste bins, and cleaning supplies.
• Conduct regular site assessments before, during, and after events to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
• Implement and monitor waste reduction and recycling initiatives.
• Liaise with event organizers, venue management, and local authorities on sanitation requirements and compliance.
• Manage the setup, servicing, and breakdown of sanitation facilities.
• Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to by staff and in all sanitation operations.
• Respond effectively to any sanitation-related issues or emergencies that arise during events.
• Prepare post-event reports detailing sanitation operations, waste volumes, and recommendations for future events.

Requirements
