The role requires strong culinary skills, leadership and the ability to perform under pressure during busy service. You will assist with menu planning, recipe development and cost control while mentoring kitchen staff.

• Experience as Sous Chef or senior kitchen role in luxury hotel, lodge or high-end restaurant.
• Strong culinary skills and commitment to quality presentation.
• Excellent leadership, organisation and communication abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene and cost control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef with the daily running of the kitchen and overall culinary operations.
• Oversee food preparation, cooking and presentation to ensure consistently high standards.
• Maintain exceptional food quality, hygiene and kitchen safety standards.
• Support menu planning, recipe development and the introduction of new dishes.
• Supervise, train and motivate kitchen staff to ensure an efficient and productive team.
• Monitor stock levels, manage food costs and minimise wastage.
• Ensure the kitchen operates smoothly during busy service periods.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a senior kitchen position within a luxury hotel, lodge or high-end restaurant.
• Strong culinary skills and a passion for quality food and presentation.
• Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• A sound understanding of food safety, hygiene and cost control.

Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience.
