Job summary

Cisco Systems in South Africa is seeking a Solutions Engineer for Splunk to lead technical discovery and architectural whiteboarding, enabling mutual Cisco and Splunk wins. You will work with Enterprise Account Executives, CISOs, SOC Managers, and partners to map technical solutions to business goals and help achieve quarterly quotas.

The role focuses on showcasing platform value through PoVs across Splunk products and delivering high-value demos while mentoring peers and contributing reusable

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or solutions architecture.
• Experience configuring SIEM platforms and/or security operations solutions.
• Experience administering Linux and Windows operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise technical discovery, architectural whiteboarding, and live demos to showcase platform value to prospects.
• Manage and execute competitive PoVs across Splunk products to validate capabilities.
• Position Cisco and Splunk integration plays to deliver unified security and observability solutions.
• Collaborate with enterprise stakeholders and channel partners to align solutions with business goals.
• Achieve sales quotas and maintain a high technical win rate through mapped solutions.
• Generate joint Cisco-Splunk cross-sell opportunities to expand market footprint.
• Mentor newer Solutions Engineers and contribute reusable demo assets.
