Cisco, in partnership with Splunk, is seeking a Solutions Engineer in South Africa to lead technical discovery and architectural whiteboarding, securing technical wins and driving sales quotas. You will map joint Cisco and Splunk integration plays to deliver unified security and observability solutions.

• 2+ years of experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or solutions architecture.
• Experience configuring SIEM platforms, and/or enterprise Cybersecurity/SecOps solutions.
• Experience administering and navigating enterprise infrastructure, specifically Linux and Windows operating systems.

Responsabilidades

• Lead enterprise technical discovery, architectural whiteboarding, and custom live demonstrations to showcase platform value to prospective customers.
• Manage and execute competitive Proof of Values (PoVs) across Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Cloud, Enterprise Security (ES), ITSI, and Observability Cloud to validate technical capabilities.
• Position joint Cisco and Splunk integration plays, including Cisco Security Cloud with Splunk ES and ThousandEyes with Splunk Observability, to provide unified security and observability solutions.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Account Executives, CISOs, SOC Managers, and Channel Partners to align technical solutions with overarching business goals.
• Achieve ACV/TCV sales quotas and maintain a technical win rate of over 75% through effective technical solution mapping.
• Generate joint Cisco cross-sell pipeline opportunities to expand our market footprint and ensure high customer adoption.
• Mentor newer Solutions Engineers and contribute reusable demo assets to support and grow the global technical community.

Your impact

As a Solutions Engineer for Splunk in South Africa, you will lead technical discovery and architectural whiteboarding to secure technical wins and achieve sales quotas. You will play a pivotal role in positioning joint Cisco and Splunk integrations, bridging the gap between Cisco Security Cloud and Splunk Enterprise Security to deliver comprehensive solutions.

By collaborating with Enterprise Account Executives, security leaders, and channel partners, you will ensure high customer adoption and satisfaction. Your technical expertise will empower organizations to strengthen their security posture and optimize their digital infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or solutions architecture.
• Experience configuring SIEM platforms, and/or enterprise Cybersecurity/SecOps solutions.
• Experience administering and navigating enterprise infrastructure, specifically Linux and Windows operating systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Splunk Certified Enterprise Architect, Splunk Core Certified Consultant, or Splunk Enterprise Security Certified Admin certification.
• Experience in MITRE ATT&CK frameworks, SecOps workflows, or OpenTelemetry.
• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences.
• Ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with enterprise customers and channel partners.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a team-oriented approach to overcoming technical challenges.
