The role requires a strong technical background, at least five years in project development for solar or renewables, and excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project development, with a focus on solar PV or renewable energy projects.
• Proven ability to identify, evaluate, and bring solar projects to fruition.
• Strong understanding of solar technology, project finance, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with GIS tools and site assessment software is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Identify and assess potential sites for solar PV projects, evaluating technical and commercial feasibility.
• Conduct due diligence, including environmental impact assessments and grid connection studies.
• Negotiate and secure land leases, permits, and other necessary agreements.
• Develop strong relationships with landowners, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare project proposals, financial models, and business cases for senior management approval.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
