Job summary

Scatec ASA Cape Town seeks a Project Cost Controller to lead cost forecasting and financial control for solar projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. You will partner with PMs, procurement and engineering to strengthen profitability and project performance.

The role reports to the Business Controlling Manager and offers exposure to an agile, growth-focused renewables environment with meaningful responsibility from day one.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance or Business or equivalent.
• 3–6 years of relevant work experience, preferably from an international environment.
• 3+ years experience in Finance Renewable Energy and Large Infrastructure Projects.
• Ability to consolidate data from several sources for presentation, efficiently process large data volumes, and propose actions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the project cost forecast with PMs, procurement, and engineering.
• Generate project status reports for the project team and management.
• Monitor project cash flows (forecasted and actual) and follow up milestone payments.
• Perform delta analysis of actual costs vs budget and flag variances to PMs.
• Manage the risks and opportunities portfolio and maintain the risk register.
• Evaluate financial impact on project margin for scope changes and variations.
• Conduct financial analysis and reporting on key project figures (revenue, cost of sale, gross margin).
