Job summary

Scatec in Cape Town, South Africa seeks a Project Cost Controller to lead cost forecasting and financial control for solar projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. You will partner with PMs, procurement and engineering to drive profitability and align on project cash flows.

Reporting to the Business Controlling Manager, the role demands strong analytical skills, data consolidation across sources, and proactive risk management.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance or Business or equivalent.
• 3-6 years of relevant work experience, preferably from an international environment.
• Ability to consolidate data from several sources and present findings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PMs, procurement, and engineering to develop and maintain the project cost forecast.
• Generate project status reports for the project team and management.
• Monitor project cash flows, forecasted vs actual, and milestone payments.
• Perform delta analysis of actual costs vs budget and flag deviations.
• Manage risks and opportunities portfolio and maintain the risk register.
• Evaluate financial impact of changes in scope and variations on margins.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting on revenue, cost of sale and gross margin.
