Placements24 is seeking a qualified Solar Panel Technician to join their expanding field operations team serving the Welkom region. You will install, maintain, and repair solar PV systems for residential and commercial clients, ensuring safety and high quality standards.

Qualifications

Technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related trade.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a solar technician or in a similar electrical installation role.
Strong understanding of electrical principles and solar PV system components.
Familiarity with safety procedures and working at heights.

Responsibilities

Install and mount solar panels, inverters, and associated electrical equipment.
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of solar PV systems.
Diagnose and repair system faults and performance issues.
Conduct system performance testing and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Manage inventory of tools and materials required for installations and repairs.
Provide basic training to clients on system operation and maintenance.
