Job summary

Recruitify_HR is seeking an experienced senior B2B sales professional for the renewable energy sector in Pretoria, South Africa. The role focuses on leading sales efforts in Solar EPC and related commercial projects, with emphasis on long-cycle B2B and C&I deals.

Candidates should have a strong track record in scaling sales teams, achieving revenue targets, and applying MEDDIC/Challenger/SPIN methodologies to complex sales processes. This position is based on-site in Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher diploma in Commercial Management, Business Administration, Finance, or Engineering.
• 5–10 years of proven B2B sales experience, with minimum 3 years in Solar EPC or Renewable Energy.
• Experience managing and scaling sales teams, setting and monitoring KPIs, and achieving revenue targets.
• Industry certifications in renewable energy advantageous.
• Membership with SAPVIA advantageous.
• PV system sizing and sales training courses completed.
• Formal training in MEDDIC, Challenger Sale, SPIN Selling or equivalent for long-cycle B2B/C&I sales.

Job description

Applicants Must Have The Following Requirements

• Must have a Bachelor's Degree or Higher Diploma in Commercial Management, Business Administration, Finance, or Engineering.
• Must have 5–10 years of proven Business-to-Business (B2B) sales experience, with a minimum of three 3 years' experience in the Solar Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) or Renewable Energy sector.
• Must have proven experience managing and scaling sales teams, setting and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and consistently achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
• Relevant industry certifications demonstrating commitment to the renewable energy sector will be advantageous.
• Membership or affiliation with recognised industry bodies, such as the South African Photovoltaic Industry Association (SAPVIA), will be advantageous.
• Must have completed recognised Photovoltaic (PV) system sizing and sales training courses.
• Must have formal training in enterprise sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, Challenger Sale, SPIN Selling, or an equivalent sales framework, with the ability to apply these methodologies in long-cycle Business-to-Business (B2B) and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) sales environments.
