About the Role

Requirements

• A registered Social Work qualification (e.g., BSW or equivalent) and registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
• Proven experience as a Social Worker, preferably in family support or child welfare.
• Strong understanding of family systems theory, child development, and relevant legislation.
• Excellent assessment, counselling, and crisis intervention skills.
• Proficiency in case management, report writing, and documentation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse client populations.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Comfort and capability in utilizing technology for remote work and communication.
• Knowledge of the Stellenbosch, Western Cape, ZA community resources is advantageous.
