Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored intervention plans.
• Provide individual, family, and group counseling services to address various social and emotional challenges.
• Connect clients with relevant community resources, support groups, and government assistance programs.
• Develop, implement, and manage new community outreach programs and initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
• Collaborate with other professionals, community organizations, and stakeholders to coordinate care and advocate for clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work (BSW or MSW).
• Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
• Proven experience as a Social Worker, with a strong understanding of community dynamics and social welfare systems.
• Excellent counseling, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in program development and community engagement.
• Ability to manage a caseload and work effectively in a demanding, sometimes challenging, environment in Tembisa.
