Key Responsibilities

• Identify potential entrepreneurs and viable business ideas for social enterprise development.
• Provide business planning support, mentorship, and coaching to social entrepreneurs.
• Facilitate access to funding, resources, and market opportunities for social enterprises.
• Develop and deliver training workshops on topics such as business management, financial literacy, marketing, and impact measurement.
• Build and maintain a network of partners, including investors, business support organizations, and government agencies, in Port Elizabeth and the wider Eastern Cape region.
• Monitor the progress and impact of supported social enterprises, providing ongoing guidance and support.
• Organize networking events and forums for social entrepreneurs to share experiences and best practices.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of the organization's social enterprise support programs.
• Track key metrics related to enterprise growth, job creation, and social impact.
• Prepare regular reports on activities, outcomes, and challenges for management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Development Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, entrepreneurship support, or a related role, preferably within the non-profit or social impact sector.
• Demonstrated understanding of social enterprise models and principles.
• Strong business acumen and knowledge of small business management, marketing, and finance.
• Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver engaging training programs.
• Experience in networking and building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with the economic landscape and challenges of the Eastern Cape .
• Proficiency in project management and reporting.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Based in or able to work effectively in the Port Elizabeth area.
