Key Responsibilities

• Identify and scout potential social entrepreneurs and social enterprises for support programs.
• Provide tailored mentorship, business planning support, and strategic guidance to social enterprise founders.
• Develop and manage incubation and accelerator programs for social enterprises.
• Facilitate access to funding opportunities, including grants, impact investments, and loans for social enterprises.
• Conduct market research and feasibility studies for new social enterprise ventures.
• Build and maintain a robust network of partners, investors, mentors, and service providers within the social impact ecosystem.
• Organize and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and networking events for social entrepreneurs.
• Monitor the progress and impact of supported social enterprises, providing regular reports.
• Contribute to the development of policies and frameworks that support the growth of social enterprises.
• Stay abreast of trends and best practices in social enterprise development and impact investing.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Entrepreneurship, Economics, Development Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in business development, entrepreneurship support, impact investing, or social enterprise management.
• Proven experience in developing business plans, financial modeling, and fundraising strategies.
• Strong understanding of social impact principles and methodologies.
• Excellent networking, relationship-building, and communication skills.
• Experience in mentoring or coaching entrepreneurs.
• Familiarity with the South African social enterprise landscape and funding mechanisms.
