Job summary

The Recruiter is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee multiple building projects across Cape Town. You will coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants, ensuring safety, programme, and quality standards are met.

Ideal candidates will have 8–10 years of building construction experience, a relevant construction qualification, and strong planning and communication skills to manage site activities and reporting effectively.

A well-established building contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee and manage multiple building projects across Cape Town.

THE ROLE

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards. You will coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and professional consultants while maintaining strong communication across multiple projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage multiple building projects simultaneously
• Coordinate Site Agents, Foremen, subcontractors and site teams
• Monitor project progress against approved programmes
• Ensure projects are completed within programme and budget
• Manage daily site operations and construction activities
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers
• Monitor workmanship, quality and construction standards
• Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements
• Attend site meetings and provide regular project updates
• Manage project documentation, correspondence and reporting
• Identify and resolve construction-related issues
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and project teams
• Ensure company procedures and project specifications are followed

REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant construction qualification preferred
• Minimum 8–10 years' experience within the building construction industry
• Proven experience managing multiple building projects
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and site management
• Experience managing subcontractors and large site teams
• Strong planning, organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Computer literate with good knowledge of MS Office
• Valid driver's licence
• SACPCMP registration will be advantageous
