Central Developments Property Group in the Western Cape seeks an experienced site foreman to lead civil/building projects, ensuring delivery to programme and specification. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage budgets and procurement, uphold safety and quality, chair meetings, and report progress to clients and stakeholders.
Requirements: BSc or NDip in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Building, with at least 10 years in construction, including three years in a senior foreman
Site management, project planning, and programme coordination
Sub-contractor management and resource allocation
Budget control, cost reporting, and reconciliation
Quality assurance and compliance management
Health, safety, environmental, and site security enforcement
Client liaison, stakeholder communication, and reporting
Team leadership, mentoring, conflict resolution, and discipline management
Material, plant, labour, and procurement coordination
Chairing site and subcontractor meetings with record keeping
Ensuring project delivery on time, within budget, and to specification
BSc or NDip (Civil Eng/Building/Construction Management)
Minimum 10 years related experience in the construction environment of which at least three as a senior foreman
Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and site operations
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Understanding of construction quality systems and testing procedures
Knowledge of budgeting, P&G management, and cost control principles
Working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and environmental legislation
Effective planning, scheduling, and programme monitoring skills
Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
Experience managing subcontractors, labour teams, and site administration
Proficient in project reporting, documentation, and contract compliance
Ability to implement efficient work methods and maintain high productivity
