Job summary

Central Developments Property Group in the Western Cape seeks an experienced site foreman to lead civil/building projects, ensuring delivery to programme and specification. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage budgets and procurement, uphold safety and quality, chair meetings, and report progress to clients and stakeholders.

Requirements: BSc or NDip in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Building, with at least 10 years in construction, including three years in a senior foreman

• Minimum 10 years of related experience in construction, including at least 3 years as a senior foreman.

Minimum requirements

• BSc or NDip (Civil Eng/Building/Construction Management)

• Minimum 10 years related experience in the construction environment of which at least three as a senior foreman

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and site operations

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

• Understanding of construction quality systems and testing procedures

• Knowledge of budgeting, P&G management, and cost control principles

• Working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and environmental legislation

• Effective planning, scheduling, and programme monitoring skills

• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities

• Experience managing subcontractors, labour teams, and site administration

• Proficient in project reporting, documentation, and contract compliance

• Ability to implement efficient work methods and maintain high productivity
