Placements24 is seeking a Site Engineer for a respected civil engineering contractor undertaking major infrastructure projects in Paarl, Western Cape. The role focuses on on-site technical support, ensuring constructions align with designs, specs, and quality standards, while coordinating with teams and maintaining safety.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree or diploma, at least 3 years of site-based experience, and proficiency with reading drawings, surveying, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years site engineer experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with surveying equipment and techniques.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations on construction sites.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Willing to work on-site in Paarl, Western Cape.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing site works per project schedules.
• Ensure activities comply with drawings and specs.
• Supervise foremen and labor on site.
• Perform quality control checks on materials and workmanship.
• Enforce health and safety regulations on site.
• Monitor progress and prepare daily site reports.
• Manage site logistics including plant, equipment, and materials.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, surveyors, and subcontractors.
• Troubleshoot on-site technical issues.
• Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
