Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Site Engineer to oversee construction activities on site in Soweto, Gauteng. You will bridge design and construction, ensuring projects meet specifications, safety standards, and timelines.

Work closely with site managers, foremen, and contractors to resolve technical challenges within the Gauteng region. The role requires a Civil Engineering degree or diploma and at least 4 years of relevant experience, strong plan-reading skills, and teamwork ability.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a Site Engineer or similar construction role.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction methods.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily on-site construction activities per plans.
• Interpret drawings, blueprints and technical docs for site execution.
• Monitor progress, identify issues and implement timely solutions.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and site protocols.
