Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Site Engineer to support construction projects in Soweto. You will oversee technical aspects on-site, interpreting blueprints, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring safety, quality and progress align with design specifications.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree, has proven site-engr experience, and can bridge design and execution in a dynamic environment while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience as Site Engineer or similar in construction.
• Ability to read complex technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations on construction sites.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Supervise and guide construction activities on site to ensure compliance with design and quality standards.
• Coordinate the work of subcontractors and site labor.
• Conduct quality control checks and ensure adherence to building codes and safety regulations.
• Monitor site progress and address any technical issues.
