Placements24 is seeking a diligent Site Civil Engineer to oversee construction activities for infrastructure projects in the Soweto vicinity. This on-site role requires ensuring work complies with designs, safety standards, and project timelines, acting as the primary engineering on-site contact.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive, and experienced in managing civil works, coordinating with contractors and project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng registration is preferred.
• At least 5 years of site supervision and construction management experience.
• Proven track record in managing civil works on infrastructure or building projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all civil engineering aspects of construction projects on site.
• Ensure work adheres to engineering designs, specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and track progress to address issues.
• Manage site logistics, equipment and labor for civil works.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors and project teams for smooth execution.
• Maintain site records including daily reports, progress photos and material testing.
