Job summary

Professional Resources Partners Pty Ltd is seeking a Junior Contracts Manager to support planning, execution and commercial management of construction/site projects in Johannesburg. The role is predominantly site-based, coordinating resources, costs, and client requirements under the Contracts Manager guidance.

Ideal candidate is an experienced Site Agent or Assistant Contracts Manager ready to progress to full Contracts Management responsibilities, with travel to site and strong HSE focus.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Civil Engineering or similar qualification.
• 3–5 years' experience as a Site Agent with readiness to progress into Contracts Management.
• 1–2 years' experience as a Junior/Assistant Contracts Manager.
• Experience in a construction/site environment.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and site compliance.
• Proficient in MS Office and MS Project.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Willingness to travel and work predominantly on site.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand project scopes, specifications and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate site resources, materials and equipment.
• Prepare and maintain the site contract programme.
• Monitor project progress and report to the Contracts Manager.
• Manage site crews, time and resources within approved parameters.
• Identify and record additional client-required work.
• Maintain client relationships and communication.
• Attend site meetings and maintain filing and documentation.
• Compile project and progress reports as required.
• Assist with planning, health and safety compliance on site.
