Placements24 is seeking a Site Civil Engineer for a major construction project in Vereeniging, Gauteng. The role requires on-site supervision, technical support, and hands-on management of earthworks, structures, roads, and drainage in a busy construction environment.

You will oversee safety, set-out, and coordination with subcontractors and the design team, ensuring quality and timely delivery on site in Vereeniging, Gauteng.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of civil engineering supervision and site management experience.
• Proven experience with earthworks, concrete structures, roadworks, and drainage.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and QC procedures.
• Familiar with SA regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license for site mobility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site civil works per plans and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections; address issues.
• Review/approve drawings, method statements, permits.
• Ensure HSE compliance on site.
• Coordinate subcontractors and direct labour for productivity.
• Do quantity take-offs; assist progress reports and certificates.
• Liaise with design team/consultants to resolve queries.
• Ensure setting out and dimensional control.
• Maintain daily site records of progress, resources, incidents.
