Job summary

Mondelēz International invites applications for a Transportation Operations role. You will manage transport planning, track and trace, invoicing, and 3PL performance to ensure efficient, compliant delivery of goods to production facilities in Port Elizabeth and Swaziland.

The role requires 3 years in a shipping/logistics environment, strong numeric skills, and proficiency in SAP and Excel. Hybrid work arrangement and collaboration with internal and external partners are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation and/or logistics and/or supply chain continuous improvement functions.
• Sound analytical and presentation skills to detail and substantiate process deviations and identified opportunities.
• A high degree of conceptual thinking to grasp the larger logistics picture and find solutions out of the box.
• Being able to communicate effectively toward internal and external customers and suppliers.
• Comprehensive understanding of business principles with initiative.
• Knowledge of third-party logistics or logistics service provider operations.
• Understanding of cost and loss drivers connected to transportation and logistics processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation related operational activities such as transport planning, track and trace, proof of delivery management, claims, freight billing and pay, pallet management, tender support, and third-party performance management.
• Monitor, verify, update, analyze and report on transportation KPIs and introduce corrective actions to improve operations.
• Coordinate logistics service providers to ensure punctual, on-time and complete deliveries per SOPs.
• Participate in and provide input into regular service provider performance reviews.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders on shortages, delays, quality issues and losses, and analyze root causes of recurring problems.
• Participate in project-related and ad hoc tasks including CI projects, tenders and capacity management.
