Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical marine training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as an incinerator technician on board a vessel.
• Knowledge of incinerator systems and waste regulations.
• Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel and work in a marine environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of incinerator systems on board vessels.
• Monitor and control the incinerator process to ensure proper functioning and compliance with environmental regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues or malfunctions with the incinerator system.
• Maintain accurate records of incinerator activities, including waste disposal and incinerator usage.
• Train and educate crew members on incinerator operation and waste management practices.
• Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed at all times.
• Coordinate with port authorities and regulatory agencies for proper waste disposal.
• Keep up-to-date with industry developments and regulations related to incineration and waste management.
