Job summary

Crew Life at Sea Ltd. is seeking an Incinerator Operator to operate and maintain the shipboard incinerator in a safe, efficient manner. You will monitor performance, maintain records, and ensure proper disposal of waste materials in compliance with international guidelines.

Ideal candidates have prior incinerator experience, familiarity with marine machinery, and strong teamwork and communication skills to operate in a fast-paced maritime environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as an Incinerator Operator or similar role.
• Knowledge of international regulations and guidelines for waste incineration at sea.
• Familiarity with different types of waste materials and their proper disposal methods.
• Basic understanding of marine engineering and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the incinerator in a safe and efficient manner, following all safety protocols and procedures
• Monitor and record the incinerator's performance and report any issues to the Chief Engineer
• Ensure that all waste materials, including garbage, oily rags, and sludge, are properly segregated and disposed of in the incinerator
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the incinerator to ensure its proper functioning
• Keep accurate records of all incinerator operations and maintenance activities
• Assist with other engineering duties as needed, such as general maintenance and repairs
