Job summary

Crew Life at Sea Ltd. is seeking an experienced onboard incinerator technician for our cruise operations. You will operate, monitor, and maintain all incinerator systems to comply with environmental regulations while working as part of the ship's engineering team.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and record-keeping, with a rotating/on-call schedule and international travel as needed. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with incinerator systems on vessels.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations related to incinerator operations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work on rotating schedule and be on call for emergencies.
• Valid passport and ability to travel internationally if needed.

Responsibilities

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain all incinerator systems onboard the cruise ship, including monitoring and controlling the incineration process to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
• Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on incinerator equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Troubleshoot and diagnose any issues with incinerator systems and make necessary repairs
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed on incinerator systems
• Communicate with the Chief Engineer and other crew members to coordinate maintenance and repair schedules
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working on the incinerator systems
• Keep up-to-date with industry developments and regulations related to incinerator systems and make recommendations for improvements and upgrades as needed
