Job summary

Staff Unlimited Recruitment client seeks hands-on, energetic Shift Setters with electrical or mechanical aptitude for a key role in our production process in KwaZulu-Natal. The position offers growth and increased responsibility within a dynamic manufacturing/FMCG setting.

The role requires N3 qualification (N4+ advantageous), at least 3 years in production, and a practical, hands-on approach. Shifts and reliable transport are necessary.

Qualifications

• N3 qualification is essential.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical or electrical aptitude with a hands-on approach.
• Willingness to work shifts and meet deadlines.
• Must have reliable own transport.

Responsibilities

• Set and adjust production machines for optimal performance.
• Aim for production efficiency targets of 85%–90%.
• Limit raw material wastage to under 1.4%.
• Conduct mould and material trials as required.
• Identify machine and mould issues and assist with maintenance.
• Ensure machinery and moulds are maintained, serviced and stored.
• Monitor production to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety.
• Work overtime when necessary and perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
