Job summary

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent qualification.
• Experience coordinating transport operations within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, email, and transport management systems.
• Strong planning, organising and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
• Own reliable transport.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and nights.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all transport operations during assigned shift.
• Dispatch loads per plan, allocating drivers and vehicles.
• Coordinate changes due to absenteeism, breakdowns, or additional transport requests.
• Monitor fleet movements and ensure on-schedule returns.
• Communicate operational issues during shift handovers.
• Lead shift employees and manage discipline per policies.
• Provide operational support across the business as required.
• Manage toll cards, attendance registers and related records.
