Job summary

Cashbuild Limited in Harding, KwaZulu-Natal, is hiring a General Assistant (External Applications Only). You will provide comprehensive customer service in-store, assist with merchandising, price labelling and housekeeping within your area.

The role requires basic education (Grade 10 or Grade 12), ability to communicate in English and the local language, and willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays. Numeracy and composure under pressure are valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 10 or NQF 3 with 1 year related experience.
• Grade 12 with no related work experience.
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant local language.
• Valid South African ID or work permit.
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Advise and assist Customers on correct products and queries.
• Assist with and resolve Customer complaints.
• Bulk stock area to be merchandised safely and according to Store layout plan.
• Must ensure your area is fully merchandised according to Store layout and planograms.
• Ensure area is free of obstacles; stock merchandised after receipt; customers can enter and exit safely.
• Correct shelf price labelling within area of responsibility.
• Complete checklist as required when on duty with Canteen and Toilet/Showers schedule.
• OHSA safety compliance within area of responsibility.
• Report discrepancies and damaged stock to Store Manager.
• Integrity, accuracy and client focus in daily tasks.
