Job summary

Unilever in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa, is seeking an intern to support the SHE department with hands-on experience and administrative tasks. The role aims to develop the trainee in safety, health and environment practices while assisting with procedures and communication

The intern will help update procedures, review risk assessments, conduct incident investigations, arrange safety trainings, collate statistics and support audit plans and corrective actions on site.

Qualifications

• Pursuing studies in Occupational Health or related field.
• Familiarity with SHE concepts and administrative support is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in updating all SHE procedures as required.
• Assist in reviewing and conducting Risk Assessments/ Aspects and Impacts
• Assist in incident investigations
• Communicates changes to the procedures and quality information by attending meetings and updating notice boards and communication screen onsite
• Assist training facilitator with arranging and planning safety trainings
• Collates SHE statistics and results as required
• Work with Coordinators to drive audit plans and corrective action implementation
• Maintain action trackers for all activities to drive SHE plans
