Job summary

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent NQF7 in Safety Management, Environmental Science, or Environmental Management.
• Strong commitment to meet deadlines.
• Good interpersonal skills and proactive thinking.
• Attention to detail and time management.
• Excellent oral and written communication; proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Shadow a mentor to support the SHE department.
• Assist in compiling HIRA’s and Aspect Impact for areas.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with OHS Act, NEMA, Air Quality and Waste management; develop mitigation measures.
• Assist with environmental monitoring (boreholes, dust and effluents).
• Assist in closing findings after internal audits, inspections and certification audits.
• Assist with compiling monthly reports.
• Assist with contractor management – safety files and site access.
