Job summary

Ramsay Engineering is seeking personnel to produce units to the defined output rate and to accurately record data on the data capture sheet in real time. You will ensure timely delivery and replenishment of parts to the production line, prevent shortages, and contribute to overall team productivity.

Responsibilities include clear communication of delays, supporting kaizen initiatives, maintaining 5S standards, and ensuring a safe, clean workstation. Shift-based work and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Preference will be given to employees from designated groups under Employment Equity Act and company policies.

Main purpose:

Job Objectives:

• Material Supply & Line Support
• Ensure timely delivery and replenishment of parts, consumables, and packaging to the production line.
• Prevent material shortages that could cause line stoppages
• Contribute to team productivity

Team Communication

• Communicate delays, shortages, or issues with parts in real time
• Work closely with the team
• Support kaizen initiatives as required
• Suggest improvements in process
• 5S
• Maintain clean and organized workstation
• Follow 5S standards

Safety, Health and Safety

• Follow safety standards and procedures to lost work case and minor injuries

Quality

• Pack parts as per the packing instruction and perform work according to the set standards.

Raise problems and concerns to the Shift Leader timeously.

• Ensure parts produced meet quality specifications and follow up on non-conforming product procedures.
• Work cycle must be completed before leaving work.
• Identify and report defects
• Follow standard packaging procedures
• Arrive on time for all shifts
• Be available and willing to work overtime

Required Qualifications and Experience

Experience:

• 1 – 2 years’ experience in manufacturing environment is advantageous.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
