Job summary

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Stack and store products in a safe, tidy manner.
• Merchandise products according to laid down standards.
• Price random weight/loose items accurately.
• Check pricing labels for correctness.
• Check quality, rotate stock, remove expired items.
• Prevent wastage, shrinkage and damages.
• Monitor temperatures and maintain the cold chain (if applicable).
• Follow security procedures.
• Operate and clean equipment according to laid down standards.
• Assist customers, listen to requests, provide the required product or service, and handle customers in a courteous manner.
• Process all customer orders according to correct procedures and service standards.
• Promote products to customers.

Minimum Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Stack and store products in a safe and tidy manner

• Correctly price random weight/loose selling items
• Check correct pricing e.g. labels
• Check quality, rotate stock, remove expired stock
• Prevent wastage/shrinkage/damages
