Job summary

Pick n Pay in South Africa is looking for a reliable store associate to help merchandise products, price items correctly, and assist customers with friendly, business-like service.

You will check stock quality, rotate items, manage temperatures where applicable, adhere to security procedures, and ensure customer orders are processed according to standard procedures. This role suits detail-oriented, multi-skilled individuals who enjoy working as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required.
• Computer literate – advantageous.
• Ability to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Stack and store products in a safe and tidy manner.
• Merchandise products according to laid down standards.
• Correctly price random weight/loose selling items.
• Check correct pricing e.g. labels.
• Check quality, rotate stock, remove expired stock.
• Prevent wastage/shrinkage/damages.
• Check temperatures/maintain the cold chain (if applicable).
• Adhere to and maintain security procedures.
• Operate and clean equipment according to laid down standards.
• Approach and advise customers on the product, listen to customers’ requests, provide the required product or services and handle customers in a courteous and business-like manner.
• Process all customer orders according the correct procedures and service standards.
