Job summary

The Talent Room is seeking a skilled Workshop Foreman to oversee day-to-day operations in our busy Gauteng workshop. You will mentor foremen, lead technicians and ensure repairs meet the highest standards, while maintaining productivity and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have a Diesel Mechanic qualification with 8–10 years of experience, Mercedes-Benz truck knowledge, and a valid EC licence. Welding skills and own tools are a plus; overtime willingness is essential.

Qualifications

Diesel Mechanic qualification is required.
8-10 years' industry experience required.
Experience with Mercedes-Benz Trucks essential.
Valid South African EC Driver's Licence required.
Welding and bodywork skills advantageous.
Own tools advantageous.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day workshop operations and ensure work is completed efficiently and to standard.
Mentor and guide Workshop Foremen and staff with technical support.
Lead, manage and monitor workshop personnel and productivity.
Assist diagnosing complex mechanical faults and support technicians.
Ensure vehicle repairs meet manufacturer and company standards.
Monitor workflow and turnaround times to complete vehicles on schedule.
