Job summary

Placements24’s client in Richards Bay is seeking an experienced Project Engineer specializing in Water Resources to lead and deliver water, wastewater and stormwater projects. This role requires hands-on site oversight and strong technical and project management skills.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil or Environmental Engineering degree with a Water Resources focus, at least five years of related experience, and a proven track record in complex water infrastructure projects and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a focus on Water Resources.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in water resource project management and design.
• Proven track record of managing complex water infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with water quality testing, hydrological modeling, and treatment technologies.
• Strong understanding of environmental regulations related to water management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of water resource management projects.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure project delivery.
• Conduct feasibility studies and environmental impact assessments for water infrastructure projects.
• Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and construction teams to ensure project objectives are met.
• Develop technical solutions for water treatment, distribution, and wastewater systems.
• Ensure all projects comply with environmental regulations and engineering standards.
