Job summary

Smith Garb in Gauteng seeks a strong operations leader to manage warehouse shifts, drive efficiency and ensure targets are met within budget. You will oversee stock control, MHE availability, and the loading/off-loading of vehicles to support seamless distribution.

The ideal candidate has a Grade 12 with maths and science, an NQF5 in Warehouse or Supply Chain, and at least five years in managerial warehouse roles, including weekend rosters.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with maths and science.
• NQF5 in Warehouse Management or related field.
• 5+ years in warehouse and distribution management roles.
• Willingness to work shifts and weekend rosters.
• Proficient in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide full leadership and management of the shift, ensuring targets and budgets are met.
• Oversee stock control and ensure stock accuracy and integrity.
• Ensure operation and maintenance of all MHE is up to standard.
• Supervise loading and off-loading of all vehicles.
• Maintain docks and freezer equipment including racks and shuttles.
• Ensure health, safety and operational procedures are followed.
• Manage staff including leave, absenteeism, rostering and resource allocation.
• Manage casual labour to meet operational demands.
• Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Monitor and control pallet movements with accurate tracking.
